The Tippecanoe Valley Soccer Team played host to Manchester tonight and ran into a buzzsaw. Manchester knocked off Valley 8-0 to remain unbeaten on the season. The Vikings played well in spurts, but the older more experienced Squires, proved to be to much.
Valley played 8 players behind the ball and it was effective for awhile. However, Manchester eventially wore down the Viking defense and scored 4 times before intermission to lead 4-0. In the second half, Valley continued to put a tremendous fight, however, Manchester tacked on four second half goals to complete the scoring. Thus far the Valley schedule has been very difficult, with the likes of Northwood, Wabash, Logansport and Manchester all being opponents. Hopefully, the difficult slate has prepared the Vikings for the remainder of the season. With 10 games left, Valley has plenty of season left to put a stamp on the 2019 campaign that reads successful. They will attempt to right the ship at Maconaquah Thursday night.
