For the second consecutive outing, it was a tale of two halves for Valley. For the first 35 minutes of play, Valley dominated Argos and kept possession of the ball for the majority of time. The Vikings took a 2-0 lead on the strength of a penalty kick goal by Jorge Rosas and a great ball played into the net by Christian Ramirez. They had all the momentum and energy as the two teams went to intermission.

However, Argos wasn’t finished. For the first five minutes of the second half, nothing happened to indicate what was about to occur. The two teams traded multiple possessions, with neither team threatening. But, at the 27 minute mark, Argos broke through and sliced the Valley lead to 2-1. That one goal seemed to break open the dam, and over the next 20 minutes, Argos scored four more times, to pull away and take the game 5-3. It was a disappointing loss for the Vikings as they celebrated senior night, honoring seniors Jorge Rosas, Jakob Jones and Brian Ramirez. All three are great student- athletes that will be missed on and off the field.

For Valley, they will conclude their regular season this Thursday night at Laville before opening sectional play next Monday night at 7PM against host school Culver Academy.
