The Valley Girls Tennis Team was back in action Monday night hosting arch- rival Rochester. In a close hard fought match, the Zebras beat the Vikings 3-2.
Gigi Engstrand continued her stellar play, by winning in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Picking up the other Valley point on the night were Kaitlin Neese and Mackenzie Costello, They were very impressive winning 6-2, 6-1.
Hannah Parson (1 singles) battled hard but lost 0-6, 4-6. Valley’s number 3 singles player, Peyton Oldham lost 4-6, 3-6. Finally the doubles 2 team of Bri Feldman and Kaydence Shepherd lost another tough, close match 7-6 2-6.
On the JV side, Valley continues to impress. Lydia Miller won her match 8-0, while the duo of Jada Hicks and Andie Sweneger won 8-2. Not to be outdone, the team of Lily Ault and Olivia Wilson were victorious 8-2.
Valley plays host to Wabash Tuesday night at 5 pm as they look to improve on their 4-4 record.
