After losing a tough game against arch rival Rochester the previous evening, The Tippy Valley Soccer Team played host to Peru. In a fantastic turnaround, the Vikings handled the Tigers of Peru 4-1. The Vikes controlled much of the first half, and a good portion of the second. Harrison Vining found the net twice to put Valley up 2-0 about 20 minutes into the contest.. Then, roughly five minutes prior to halftime, Kaitlin Neese scored on a great play she made from a crossing pass to extend the Valley lead to 3-0.
The Vikings played well for the bulk of the second half. Jacob Bailey added a goal with about 18 minutes to play to put Valley up 4-0. At that point, Valley played very good defense before finally surrendering the lone Peru score with about 3 minutes remaining.
Tippy Valley will be back in action next Wednesday, September 19 when they pay a visit to Whitko.
