Vikings News · Softball Finishes 2nd at Valley Invite

The girls played hard today!
We hit the ball really well in both games.
Defense was solid. We mixed up the line up a little and defense positions and it worked well. The wind played a big factor in the championship game.

We won the first game 12-2. Great team win!! We communicated and played our game!
The first game Corinna Stiles had 10 strike outs. As a team we had 12 hits, 8 RBIs and 11 walks. We only had 1 error. Stiles, Molly Moriarty, Abby Bowers, Smith, and Brayden Baney each racked up multiple hits for Tippecanoe Valley Vikings Softball . Baney, Smith, Bowers, Moriarty, and Stiles each collected two hits to lead Valley.

The second game we lost 18-4 against a solid South Central team.

We had 9 hits and only 1 error again. Macy Kirchenstien and Abby Bowers combined on the mound for Valley. Both pitchers did their job with making our defense work. We made contact well with hitting the ball.

We improved a lot with being disciplined at the plate and with our decision making on the field. So proud of the girls today. We communicated well, had fun and gained confidence at the plate.

We move to 9-7 on the season (1-2 in TRC) We’re back in action Monday against rival Rochester!
