The JV Football team fell to Southwood in their final game of the season.

Friday October 23rd: Vikings defeat South Bend Washington in the First Round of Sectionals, 49-22.

On a cold and windy night at Death Valley… Tippecanoe Valley’s offensive line dominated the second half and the Vikings pulled away from the Panthers to win the first round of the playoffs by a score of 49-22. After Washington jumped out to a very early lead… The Vikings answered back with a 1 yard touchdown run by Branson McBrier followed by a rushing TD by Joel Cisneros 4 minutes later to take the lead 13-6. But an explosive South Bend offense answered right back and took the lead at the end of the first quarter 14-13. Defense and turnovers for both teams in the second quarter kept the score at 14-13 going into halftime. The Vikings offense exploded in the third quarter scoring 24 points on two rushing touchdowns by Jamasyn Virgil and one by Joel Cisneros. A 4th quarter TD by Washington cut Valley’s lead to 37-22. But another Cisneros TD and a Carl Parker fumble recovery for a touchdown sealed the deal. The Vikings offense took advantage of 6 Panther turnovers on the way to a huge night offensively. The Vikings had 357 yards of offense led by Joel Cisneros 128 yards on 22 carries and 3 touchdowns! Jamasyn Virgil had 89 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns and 44 yards receiving. Freshman Dalton Alber added 39 yards rushing. The 49 points the Vikings scored was the most in a playoff game since the 1979 season!
