Tuesday September 29th: Valley draws with Argos 0-0.

In a game that featured no goals but plenty of action, Valley and Argos played to a 0-0 tie. The Vikings and Dragons went back and forth for 80 minutes. Argos won the time of possession battle, but Valley played gritty defense led by Arturo Dominguez and keeper Tyler Jones, who recorded his second clean sheet in 72 hours. Valley generated a handful of opportunities but were troubled by the same issues tonight as they have been all season, the inability to finish at the net. Defensively, besides Dominguez and Jones, David Reyes, Jesus Baca, Gio Arriagia, Gerardo Fernandez and Jessica Brito all played roles in helping shutout the Dragons. The tie leaves the Vikings with a mark of 3-7-3.

Thursday October 1: Vikings fall in regular season finale.

Valley hosted Rochester in a rematch to close out the regular season. The Zebras won the first game, 4-2 and on a windy, rainy cold night won the rematch 7-2. Rochester led 5-0 by halftime as they consistently frustrated Valley with possession and excellent midfield play. Valley played hard and managed to stay even with the Zebras in the second half. Christian Ramirez and Alexis Hernandez scored the goals for the now 4-8-2 Vikings.

Monday September 28th: C-Team falls to FW Carroll 45-6.

The Tippecanoe Valley JV Football team lost a tough game to Fort Wayne Carroll on Monday by a score of 45-6. The lone touchdown for the Vikings was scored by Cody Eastgate on a 6 yard keeper up the middle. Karl Parker had 3 rushes for 39 yards and Gerardo Hernandez added 7 rushes for 31 yards.

Friday October 2: Vikings beat Maconaquah 20-17

In a very gutsy performance in the 2nd half… the Vikings overcome a 13-17 deficit by shutting out the Braves in the second half. Hunter Eherenman scored the winning touchdown on an 11 yard run with 7:27 left in the game. Valley’s stellar defense late in the game and several penalties on the Braves sealed the huge TRC win for the Vikings! The Vikings had 313 yards of total offense on the night. Valley dominated the total plays and time of possession in the game and overcome some injuries to keep their TRC hopes alive. Leading the way for the Vikings was Jamasyn Virgil with 125 yards rushing on 20 carries and a touchdown. Hunter Eherenman ran the ball for 58 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown. Branson McBrier only ran for 1 yard… but it was a big one… a 1 yard touchdown run in the first half.
